Kroeber Hall, Little Worth Ryder/116 Kroeber Hall
The Museum of Judgments is a series of representations of qualities that the artist judges about people. Each item, such as "Bad Tattoos" and "Too Much Makeup" are presented using traditional Natural History museum techniques. The project is meant to prove that such superficial judgments are ridiculous, however, an unintentional effect could be that viewers become more self-conscious about aspects of themselves that might be showcased. Remembering these feelings, the viewer is encouraged to release his or her own superficial judgments as well.
