SLATE art & design presents a solo exhibition by Jessica Martin starting on Friday, July 3rd in the Temescal district of Oakland. Martin paints colorful landscapes inhabited by seeds, flowers, grass and stones that she describes as, "gardens of nature and industry." Her process of looking, making, undoing and redoing makes Martin's work uniquely layered and full of depth, which draws the viewer into her fantastical environments.
